Review : Wet N Wild Coloricon Palette in Greed

Last month I purchased several Wet n Wild Coloricon palettes from Sophie J.
Today I will be doing a short review on one of the first palettes I've opened and its the Wet n Wild Coloricon Palette in GREED.

Greed is made up of 6 eyeshadows and comes with two free applicators. 3 eyeshadows are matte and the other 3 are shimmery ones... I must warn you that I've decided to change my review format... Tell me what you think about this shorter version...

What I Like :
Affordable. I got this for only P175 at an online auction by Sophie J but even if I purchased this at its regular price of 399 it would still be a pretty nifty palette to add to my collection.
Compact & travel friendly. Due to the size of the palette it would be easy to take around with you for touch ups!
Decent pigmentation for the matte shadows and lasting power.
Eyeshadows aren't powdery or chalky.
Shimmer eyeshadows don't have that "gritty" feeling when being applied onto the lids.
No funky smell unlike some eyeshadow palettes that smell "flowery"...
Non irritating.

What I Don't Like :
Not always locally available.
Cheap plastic-like packaging.
Pretty useless free applicators.
No mirror.
Matte black eyeshadow could have had better color payoff.
Other shimmer eyeshadows come off too sheer if applied w/o a primer underneath.

Overall :
Overall I'd give this a 3/5 stars. Minus points on its cheap packaging, lack of mirror and the poor color payoff of the matte black eyeshadow and sheerness of the shimmers ones but other than that, there are so many other things that makes me love this product a lot. I think it would be a great addition to one's personal collection and also a newbie's (like me) makeup artist's traincase.

Matte eyeshadow swatches. No primer underneath. Taken under white artificial light without flash.

So, my dear readers, what do you think of this new style for my review posts? Do you like this short version better than the other way I write reviews? Talk to me! I need your opinions! :)
Oh and before I forget, did you guys find this review useful? Would you purchase this palette? Why? Why not? :)

  4. I like that it's short and sweet. :) Not really liking the color pay-off from what I see from your swatches. Like you said, it could be better. I'll consider the other palettes from Wet n Wild though. Maybe I just don't like the colors in this one. :)
