Review : KKCenterHK's ES - A510 Lashes

WARNING : HEAVY IMAGE POST

So, everybody knows I'm a big fan of false eyelashes. I literally can't get enough of them. I tend to hoard false lashes at times. So when KKCenterHK offered to sponsor FREE false lashes for review purposes, I agreed immediately!

Before going on with the review, let me give you an idea about what KKCenterHK is all about. This site is Hong Kong based and caters to beauty enthusiasts. They offer a wide range of different beauty products like false lashes, stick on nails, lip stickers, wigs, makeup brushes, and a whole lot more. They ship world wide and their site's pretty friendly to use. Check out the FAQs on their page.

Moving onto the sponsored item they sent... It took about two weeks to get to the Philippines. I had already prepared myself to pick up the package at the local post office but instead the package got delivered to my doorstep. I was pleasantly surprised that I only had to pay P40 which I didn't really mind at all.

I saved the stamps for my lola's (grandmother) stamp collection. I remember how surprised she was that I was now receiving packages from outside the country.

The sponsored item turned out to be false lashes with the code ES - A510. It came in a lovely shiny black carton box that was wrapped in bubble wrap.

Here's a photo of the 10 pairs of lashes that were sent to me. Aren't they lovely? The photo below is a close up view on the lashes. They are quite spiky and dense. This particular design falls under their LUXURIANT catergory. The A510's are also referred to as the Luxuriant Spiky Tailed Eyelashes which I find quite fitting since it truly described the lovely design on the lashes. This design is relatively new. It came out in December 2011.

Now onto the review proper.

Shipping / Packaging :
I'm impressed that it took only about 2 weeks for the item to get to the Philippines. Another plus is the fact I didn't have to go get it myself at the local post office. Thumbs up to KKCenterHK for wrapping the item in bubble wrap. It shows that they care about the item's safety during transit.

Design :
I'm a sucker for full black falsies that offer so much drama to a whole look so I'm definitely loving this particular design. I think the spiky tails add even more emphasis and volume to my own lashes. Another thing I like about the design is its thin black strip that's bendable just the right way. It isn't too stiff nor is it too limp. It's easy to maneuver into place over your natural lash line. Definitely a plus!

Comfort :
Since these are full lashes, they did feel a bit "heavy" at first but you eventually get used to it. Again I like that the band/strip is flexible enough and doesn't end up poking the fleshy areas on my eyes. I don't really think these are everyday lashes that you can go on wearing for long hours, but they're definitely party lashes - lashes you'd wear to special nights out. Or when you're just craving for attention!

Overall :
I'm really loving these lashes. I'd recommend them (& the site) to those girls out there going for a more adventurous look with false lashes, those who aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zone and go for full on, super dark, spiky tailed falsies. Want attention? These are definitely for you! Good luck with the pretty eye batting!

More photos!

Review GEO MiMi Cafe Series WMM504 (Macchiato)

The other day I received a package which I blogged about here. The package was from Jhia of Red Jhelli Shop and they contained my most awaited sponsored lenses! I'm super excited to share this particular review because I am so in love with this particular pair of lenses.

The lenses that were sent to me are from GEO and they come from the new MiMi Cafe Series. Mine's the WMM 504 which are also known as the Macchiato lenses. The lenses from the Cafe series are inspired by several coffee drinks.

Lens Information:
BC : 8.70
Dia : 15.0
Life Span : 1 year
Shelf Life : 3 years
Made in : Korea

Left : Side that touches the eye. Right : Side with the visible pattern.
In the picture above you can clearly see the pattern of this particular lens. I'll be talking about that in a bit. Let's get on to the actual review before I start ranting again.

Shipping / Packaging :
Jhia of Red Jhelli Shop texted me last February 21, 2012 to inform me that she shipped out my package already. It arrived in Zamboanga on the 23rd of February. It took quite a while, in my opinion. Especially since the package came from Cebu. Air21 was a good choice of courier though, since they've never given me problems in the past. I love the fact that the lenses came well packed in bubble wrap and for added protection, were stored in a very cute paper packaging with the Red Jhelli Shop logo. The presentation was eye catching indeed. Gives the impression that RJS cares about first impressions.

Color / Design :
Aside from loving gray lenses, I'm also hooked on brown ones. They seem more natural to wear on a daily basis. This particular color is a mix of different shades of brown. It transitions from a deeper brown ring to a lighter toned brown for the inner design. I love how the colors blend well together. Another note-worthy thing is the swirls on the lenses. It really does remind me of a coffee drink being swirled in the cup. I've never personally seen this design on other lenses so I'm super happy to own this particular pair.

Enlargement :
These are 15.0mm babies! Need I say more? For girls (and guys) who want/need huge lenses, then this pair is definitely a "must have". They are amazingly enlarging and give me this whole "awake" and "dolly" effect.

Comfort :
These lenses were amazingly comfortable. I wore them for 7 hours straight with no problem whatsoever! I feel as if this particular pair is thinner than my other "large" lenses. Or that may be just me. Anyway, they felt great when worn. As if I wasn't even wearing lenses at all.

Overall :
I am in love with this pair of lenses. I'm not being biased or anything but I plan on wearing these lenses every chance I get to "squeeze" it's use to me. I love the design and how comfy they are plus the color is a perfect everyday color. I know a lot of people would say that I need eye makeup for this but I think I can totally pull this off without eye makeup!

The above photo was taken with flash indoors. You can clearly see the transition of colors and the lovely pattern on the lenses! They are definitely pretty.

Time for full face photos!

What do you guys think of this particular pair? Would you try this out yourself?
If you purchase this pair (or any other pair) from Red Jhelli Shop, you can get a 5% discount if you use this special code : RED-JANNA01
So, what are you waiting for?

Sneak Peek : GEO WMM504

I got a package in the mail today and it turned out to be one of the most anticipated packages ever. I've been waiting for this baby for what feels like forever. I've been looking forward to this particular package even more than my makeup purchases.

This particular package just happens to contain my sponsored lenses from Jhia of Red Jhelli Shop. I'm sure I've mentioned the shop before. I'm currently an affiliate of the said shop. I'm really excited to do a review on this particular pair of lenses from GEO. For now, I'll just be posting a sneak peek.

I received the lenses via Air21. Jhia was sweet enough to also send me a little something extra!

All lenses from Red Jhelli Shop come in these adorable paper packaging with their cutesy logo printed on both sides. See how she even wrote my name on the side? I appreciate it when people call me Jannie. As you can see the lenses are really nicely packed in bubble wrap. Jhia also sent me a very adorable coin purse. I'm definitely going to use it soon.

I'll be working on the official review for this very soon so watch out for it!
Again, thank you to Jhia of Red Jhelli Shop for sponsoring this pair of lenses.

Nude on Nude Series - Classic Pin-Up

Yesterday I came up with another makeup tutorial. I even posted a sneak peek on Facebook and a lot of people requested that I upload the video tutorial. The photo below is the one I postes as a sneak peek. It's another one of my "pa-cute" photos. *lol*

Anyway, I decided to come up with a new series. I was inspired by Janah of Make-up By Janz since she also did a series using this palette. What palette am I talking about? Well, it happens to be the NYX NUDE ON NUDE palette. I purchased mine from Beauty's Treasure. I couldn't afford to get the UD Naked palette so I settled for this last year. I know it can't really be compared to the Naked palette, but it does the job and you get your money's worth with 20 eyeshadows & 10 lip colors. So I decided to pay tribute to this very useful palette and come up with a series. Starting with this classic pin-up look!

Product List!

Face:
Kiehl's skin care products
SanSan matte liquid foundation - 03
Nyx concealer in a jar - CJ04 medium
Ever Bilena powder foundation - oriental
Ever Bilena powder blush - earth
Nyx powder blush - mocha

Brows:
Ever Bilena eyebrow pencil - brown

Eyes:
Nyx HD eyeshadow base
Nyx Nude on Nude palette - all eyeshadows
Maybelline gel liner - black

Lashes:
Nyx mascara - black
ES A510 eyelashes
DUO eyelash glue

Lips:
EOS lipbalm - lemon drop
Nyx Nude on Nude palette - lip color

I hope you dolls enjoyed the photos. Now to learn how I got this look, check out the video tutorial below! If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments box.
