Review : KKCenterHK's ES - A829 Lashes

Here I go again, blogging about my falsies obsession! *laughs*
Again KKCenterHK offered to sponsor FREE false lashes for review purposes & being the lash hoarder that I am,I agreed immediately!

This time it took three weeks to get to the Philippines. Again I saved the stamps for my lola's (grandmother) stamp collection since she asked me to do so. The sponsored item turned out to be false lashes with the code ES - A829. Like the other ES lashes, they came in a lovely shiny black carton box that was wrapped in bubble wrap.

Here's a photo of the 10 pairs of lashes that were sent to me. Aren't they lovely? They fall under the CRISS CROSS lash category. They're relatively shorter than regular falsies and have a clear thin band.

Now onto the review proper.

Shipping / Packaging :
It took three weeks to get to me which isn't such a horrible thing. At least I didn't have to go to the post office to claim them. Thumbs up again to KKCenterHK for wrapping the item in bubble wrap.

Design :
Though I love full on dramatic lashes, these "more natural" looking ones are super fun to use too! I love how the lash hairs are long and makes my own lashes look fuller plus since it flares towards the outer part, it give the illusion of cat eyes without the effort. I also love the fact it has a very thin and flexible clear band. It's a lot easier getting these close to my natural lash line.

Comfort :
I used this out the other day and it felt super comfy. My eyes didn't get tired from the weight of these lashes and they didn't poke the sensitive areas on my lids.

Overall :  ★
I'm really loving these lashes. I'd recommend them (& the site) to those girls out there going for a more natural but still flirty look. These pairs are perfect for everyday use since you can even pull it off without much eye makeup! They look super natural too. :)

Updates!(Warning, RANTING Will Happen)

I've been sick the past few days and I don't really have anything much to blog about. I've been feeling uninspired and a little lost. I know my blog's supposed to be about makeup & beauty but allow me to rant.
I hate being sick. The depression gets the opportunity to set in and I hate it when that happens.
Plus being "lost" happens to be one of the most miserable feelings you can experience.

A lot of people look at my blog and think it's all happy stuff but I'm human too. I go through the same motions everyday. I get hurt, I get sad, I feel things... Sometimes it can get too much but despite that, I do try my best to stay positive.

Thus instead of ranting on and on about sad things, I decided that it's probably best to post updates in bulleted form! :)

  • I've announced my February 2012 giveaway winner here.
  • I'll be posting the mechanics to my March 2012 giveaway soon. Probably on the 7th.
  • I've received mail from KKCenterHK again. Excited for the next batch of sponsored lashes.
  • I've also received my sponsored items from BEAUTY COSMETICS. Watch out for the reviews on one of their best sellers, the flat top brush & 120 V3 Palette.
  • I've been offered a little something and I'm super excited to share this SCENTsational news when all the details are cleared.
  • I'll be having a new batch of cosmetics for sale soon.
  • Looking forward to buying more fishies with the boyf. More mickey mouse platys! <3

So far that's all. Will be leaving you with a version of one of my favorite love songs...

Review : KKCenterHK's ES - A510 Lashes

WARNING : HEAVY IMAGE POST

So, everybody knows I'm a big fan of false eyelashes. I literally can't get enough of them. I tend to hoard false lashes at times. So when KKCenterHK offered to sponsor FREE false lashes for review purposes, I agreed immediately!

Before going on with the review, let me give you an idea about what KKCenterHK is all about. This site is Hong Kong based and caters to beauty enthusiasts. They offer a wide range of different beauty products like false lashes, stick on nails, lip stickers, wigs, makeup brushes, and a whole lot more. They ship world wide and their site's pretty friendly to use. Check out the FAQs on their page.

Moving onto the sponsored item they sent... It took about two weeks to get to the Philippines. I had already prepared myself to pick up the package at the local post office but instead the package got delivered to my doorstep. I was pleasantly surprised that I only had to pay P40 which I didn't really mind at all.

I saved the stamps for my lola's (grandmother) stamp collection. I remember how surprised she was that I was now receiving packages from outside the country.

The sponsored item turned out to be false lashes with the code ES - A510. It came in a lovely shiny black carton box that was wrapped in bubble wrap.

Here's a photo of the 10 pairs of lashes that were sent to me. Aren't they lovely? The photo below is a close up view on the lashes. They are quite spiky and dense. This particular design falls under their LUXURIANT catergory. The A510's are also referred to as the Luxuriant Spiky Tailed Eyelashes which I find quite fitting since it truly described the lovely design on the lashes. This design is relatively new. It came out in December 2011.

Now onto the review proper.

Shipping / Packaging :
I'm impressed that it took only about 2 weeks for the item to get to the Philippines. Another plus is the fact I didn't have to go get it myself at the local post office. Thumbs up to KKCenterHK for wrapping the item in bubble wrap. It shows that they care about the item's safety during transit.

Design :
I'm a sucker for full black falsies that offer so much drama to a whole look so I'm definitely loving this particular design. I think the spiky tails add even more emphasis and volume to my own lashes. Another thing I like about the design is its thin black strip that's bendable just the right way. It isn't too stiff nor is it too limp. It's easy to maneuver into place over your natural lash line. Definitely a plus!

Comfort :
Since these are full lashes, they did feel a bit "heavy" at first but you eventually get used to it. Again I like that the band/strip is flexible enough and doesn't end up poking the fleshy areas on my eyes. I don't really think these are everyday lashes that you can go on wearing for long hours, but they're definitely party lashes - lashes you'd wear to special nights out. Or when you're just craving for attention!

Overall :
I'm really loving these lashes. I'd recommend them (& the site) to those girls out there going for a more adventurous look with false lashes, those who aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zone and go for full on, super dark, spiky tailed falsies. Want attention? These are definitely for you! Good luck with the pretty eye batting!

Nude on Nude Series - Classic Pin-Up

Yesterday I came up with another makeup tutorial. I even posted a sneak peek on Facebook and a lot of people requested that I upload the video tutorial. The photo below is the one I postes as a sneak peek. It's another one of my "pa-cute" photos. *lol*

Anyway, I decided to come up with a new series. I was inspired by Janah of Make-up By Janz since she also did a series using this palette. What palette am I talking about? Well, it happens to be the NYX NUDE ON NUDE palette. I purchased mine from Beauty's Treasure. I couldn't afford to get the UD Naked palette so I settled for this last year. I know it can't really be compared to the Naked palette, but it does the job and you get your money's worth with 20 eyeshadows & 10 lip colors. So I decided to pay tribute to this very useful palette and come up with a series. Starting with this classic pin-up look!
