I'm going to be very honest. I suck at starting my blog posts. *lol* I've been staring at the screen for the past 15 minutes and I decided to just "go with it". So here I am, typing rapidly away trying to think of a nice way to say that I'll be talking about circle lenses again. HAHAHA!~
Well anyway, since I already mentioned it, today I'll be talking about a new pair of circle lenses that I got last week... I've been seeing so much of the Solotica Hidrocor lenses online that I just had to take a look for myself. They're pretty pricey (some shops sell them for P500-P800 a pair) but lucky for me Sparkle lenses carry "Solotica INSPIRED" lenses for only P250/pair and I found a seller with on hand stocks...
It took me some time to decide which ones to get because they all looked so pretty. I pretty much stick to grays and browns so in the end I got the Princess Riri Gray and the OMG Brown. Today I'll be reviewing the OMG Brown ones.
* Color & Design - Out of the colors available for lenses, brown is the one I usually gravitate towards to when I want an "easy to wear" color. I usually go for 3-tone lenses but this particular 2 tone design still looks beautifully striking against my natural dark brown eyes without looking too harsh. I also love the fact that I don't need to wear a lot of eye makeup to make this particular pair "work" for me.
* Enlarging - At 14.5mm this definitely isn't a very enlarging pair. Now that I'm older, I prefer to not have the "doll-eye" look anymore. I'm more comfortable donning 14.2-14.5mm pairs.
* Comfort & Ease of Use - For a "seasoned" circle lens wearer, this pair was a breeze to use. It isn't flimsy and isn't heavy on the eyes. I wore this pair for more than 4 hours straight in an air-conditioned room and had no problems whatsoever.
*Lasts for a year!
What I Don't Like:
* It is a bit on the flimsy side, so be careful in handling this pair!
So, my dearest readers, have any of you tried on Solotica inspired lenses? What can you say about them? Which ones would you recommend for me? Catch you all on my next post!
If you know me, then you already probably know by now that aside from my love for lipsticks, I'm also a very big fan of circle lenses. When I was younger, I was obsessed with circle lenses. OBSESSED. Back then, I would save up all of my allowance to get hold of a pair (they used to cost as much as P900!).
I got gray ones, brown ones, green ones and I even got some crazier colors like red, pink & purple ones but there was one shade that was a bit elusive - blue. I had such a hard time looking for the perfect pair of blue lenses that I just gave up and stuck to the basic grays and browns but fast forward to last month... I finally found THE pair of blue lenses I've been waiting for!

What I Like:
* Color & Design - I've always had a not-so-secret penchant for blue lenses and I've finally gotten the pair that complements my Filipina skin tone AND actually appears blue against my dark brown eyes. Over the years, I've noticed that most blue lenses I've tried either look gray on my eyes or are "too" blue and fake looking. This particular pair has a three tone design which makes it as natural as natural can get.
* Enlarging - At 14.2mm this definitely isn't an enlarging pair. Now that I'm (dare I say it?) 25 years old, I prefer to not have the "doll-eye" look anymore.
* It is a bit on the flimsy side, so be careful! I don't recommend this brand for those of you out there with long nails as they have a tendency to "rip". *booo!*
Last month I got sent two special pairs of circle lenses for review purposes from my awesome sponsors, Pinky Paradise! Pinky Paradise is an online shop that specializes in all things related to circle lenses. They carry different brands, colors, diameters and also circle lens accessories!
Full Face, Artificial Light, No Flash, iPhone4 camera was used
What I Like:
* Color & Design - I've always had a not-so-secret penchant for blue lenses but haven't found a pair that would compliment my filipina skin tone. This pair leans more on the gray side but there's still that hint of blue sparkle that makes it easy to pull off. The light brown outer ring also compliments the entire design and helps this pair of lenses blend better on my dark brown eyes. I've worn this out a couple of times with and without eye makeup on and I still get complimented on them.
* Enlarging - At 14.5mm this is an enlarging pair without making you look like a reptile. At 23 years old, I tend to stick to 14.0mm and 14.5mm lenses so this is perfect for my taste.
* Not locally available in Zamboanga. Lucky for me Pinky Paradise stocks this pair!
Andddddddd, here's a couple of wacky face shots! *teehee*
I recently received a very much awaited package from LensVillage and it was evident at the post office how I was so looking forward to this particular package. I literally could not wait to rip open the package! So that was the first thing I did when I got home and out tumbled my GEO Holicat Barbie Cat lenses!
The lovely people at LensVillage gave me the opportunity to choose which pair I'd like to review for them and I initially opted for the Puffy 3 Tones Grey lenses but they were out of stock. After searching through their site, I decided to get the Geo Holicat Barbie Cat lenses instead. Their service was fast. They shipped the package out last May 12, 2014 and they arrived at the local post office last May 28, 2014. I picked up the package last May 30, 2014.

I was pleasantly surprised that this pair came in blister packaging. I prefer lenses that come in blister packaging because they are easier to open. The risk of cutting yourself on the vial's outer covering is lessened. Plus taking a photo of the lenses inside their original packaging is way easier on a blister packaging. I always end up taking awkward photos when they come in vials.
My lenses came with a free lens case in a cute bear design. I really like the fact this is yellow. It's such a happy color and it's easier to spot in my drawer full of circle lenses. The downside is that it isn't translucent. It would have been easier to decipher which lenses were inside if it were translucent.
Inside the lens case, without flash.

What I Like :
* Color & Design - I like the unique honey-brown color of this particular pair because it isn't too "in your face" but still gives you a pop of color. It stands out against my dark brown eyes but the dark brown outer ring makes it look less harsh than my circle lenses with black rings. The lenses have a semi-speckled design which looks really pretty when worn.
* Enlarging - Being 14.5mm, this particular pair doesn't look overly huge on my eyes. I'm pleased at how it gives off just a "subtle" but noticeable doll-like quality to my eyes.
* Comfortable - I wore this pair for 8 hours just to test it out. It started feeling a bit dry on the 6th hour but the previous hours were a blast. They felt lightweight on the eyes and very comfortable. I bet even first timers would find this easy on the eyes.
What I Don't Like :
* Pricey.
* Lasts only 1 month.
* Not locally available but at least Lens Village is a super reliable shop that offers this beautiful pair!

I'm back with another haul and this time it's from an online store called GWYSHOP. A year ago I received a really nice package from them and I talked about it in this post. I've been meaning to purchase from them again so I was really excited that their circle lenses are part of a promo and that they now sold falsies as well... Read on to know more about what I got from GWYSHOP.
GWYSHOP still has great packaging. I'm still very partial to shops with nice packaging (as well as ones that wrap the orders in bubble wrap!) so Gwyshop has impressed me once again. They use paper bags with their cute logo and contact details printed on it.
I grabbed the opportunity to purchase new falsies. 2 pairs that are bottom lashes and 2 pairs that are top lashes. Each pack cost around P80/each. I really like the styles I got. I'm planning to incorporate both styles in my next "gyaru" makeup tutorial.
I also ordered two lipsticks from the brand Sibella. It's an Italy based brand. Each tube cost me only P90. I got one in a plum-mauve and the other in a fuchsia pink shade since these are colors that I prefer using on a daily basis.
Last but not the least, I availed of their promo for Crystal lenses. I've never tried Crystal lenses before, so I'm pretty excited to test it out. A pair costs P249 (non-graded) but since I got the promo price, I only paid P599 for 3 pairs. All three pairs have a 15.0mm diameter. I got them in Jewel green, Peridot gray and Ula brown. Reviews will be posted soon!
Have you heard of this store before? If yes, how did your experience with them go? If no, would you consider buying their kawaii goods? Tell me in the comment box below!
