Mascota De Zamboanga

"Zamboangueña women claim ownership of the mascota, a formal gown with a fitting bodice, her shoulders draped demurely by a luxuriously embroidered, though stiff, panuelo and fastened at the breast by a brooch or a medal. The skirt tapers down from the waist but continues on to an extended trail called the "cola". The "cola may be held on one hand as the lady walks around, or it may likewise by pinned on the waist or slipped up a cord (belt) that holds the dainty "abanico" or purse. 
Featured in the photos are winning designs previously made by one of Zamboanga's finest designer Usni Sali during the Annual Mascota de Zamboanga competition which aims to preserve the beauty of the Spanish culture deeply rooted in the modern City of Zamboanga." - Sefi C.

This shoot was another "toughie" but as always, I work perfectly by Sefi's side. He is a great friend and photographer that I'd happily do shoots with him. The mascota is close to my heart because I am from Zamboanga. Call me bias, but hey! It's gorgeous, right?

Aj Mendoza ~ Laidback

Remember that time I posted a BTS collage for Aj Mendoza? Well last night I finally received my copies of the output from Sefi. It took me a whole 80 minutes to download the files Sefi sent but they were a 80 minutes worth waiting for because when I saw the photos, I literally squealed with delight! Check the first set's photos below...

For the first set we decided to go with something "normal" if that makes sense. Aj had this pair of awesome "washed out" jeans which Prei paired with a peachy salmon colored shirt... I did my own kind of magic too... Read on to get the list of products I used. This was my second time to be working with male skin and I've learned from my previous mistakes. Males tend to have rougher textured skin due to more hair growth but Aj didn't really have that kind of skin but nevertheless I made sure to start of with my ritual skin prepping with several different skin care products before moving on to actual makeup. Yesterday was a day of firsts...
It was my first time to be working on a male subject, Aj Mendoza, my first time seeing Sefi play with different colored light effects, and my first time working with Prei.
